terms of use
By installing or using zem you agree to these terms. They cover the zem mobile app and the tryzem.app website.
the service
zem is a personal task tracker with optional AI-assisted task breakdown, a companion mascot, and a paid subscription tier. We will keep the service running on a best-effort basis but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
your account
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in method secure.
- One human per account.
- You must be old enough in your country to enter a binding contract.
subscriptions and trials
- New accounts get a free trial. Duration is shown in the app at sign-up.
- Subscriptions auto-renew through the Apple App Store or Google Play. You cancel through the store, not us.
- Refunds are governed by the store you purchased through (Apple or Google).
- Prices may change with notice. Existing renewals follow store rules.
acceptable use
- Do not use zem to store content that is illegal where you live.
- Do not try to interfere with the service (probing, scraping, reverse-engineering server APIs, automated load).
- Do not resell access or use zem to provide a service to third parties.
your content
You keep all rights to the tasks and notes you write. You grant us a narrow licence to store and sync that content for the sole purpose of operating the service for you.
AI features
The "split this task" feature sends task titles to a third-party model accessed via OpenRouter. Suggestions are best-effort, not advice, and can be wrong; review before acting on them.
termination
You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms; we will give notice unless doing so would cause harm.
warranty and liability
zem is provided "as is" without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is capped at the amount you have paid us in the previous 12 months.
governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which zem's operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes consumer rights guaranteed in your country.
changes
Material changes get a notice in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
